Volunteers are needed for our Open 25 on 7th July on the Bickerstaffe / Rainford course. HQ is at Aughton Village Hall – first rider off at 2.01 pm
We need about 20 people from anout 12 noon until 4.30 / 5 pm to ensure that all of the Course Risk Assessments are complied with and that there are sufficient helpers at the HQ.
It would also be nice to see a few more SCC riders actually taking part in our open event this — in previous years we’ve rarely managed to get more than a handful.
I know that this event clashes with the proposed Buttertubs ride, however the date of the Open 25 was fixed last November so that it could be approved by CTT for inclusion in the 2018 handbook. I can think of a few people who would like to be able to do both.
Whilst most of the regular TT crew can be relied upon to turn out, anyone who either wants to ride or can assist with marshalling / helping should let me know as soon as possible so I can identify any issues. Similarly anyone who will NOT be able to assist on that day should also let me know, then I won’t be badgering them closer to the time.
