The evening TT’s start on Thursday 5th April and run through until the end of August. Ideally we need about 11 people for each event to ensure that the course risk assessment is complied with.
I’m trying to put together a list of marshals and officials to get us through the first part of the season.
We are 2 or 3 people short for the first few events, but have a significant problem in May when many club members and 3 key Marshals / timekeepers are away in Mallorca.
All SCC riders taking part in the points series are expected to marshal in at least 2 events ( or nominate someone to marshal for them). Any competitors doing marshalling duties will have those events credited against the minimum number of rides that qualify for the Points competition — i.e someone riding 4 events and marshalling 2 events will be deemed to have met the 6 qualifying events.
The evening TT’s are well supported by riders from other clubs across the NW, and maintain SCC’s high profile within the region. Furthermore they contribute significantly to the club’s revenues.
Anyone wishing to volunteer should let me know – and also anyone who knows of any dates they will NOT be able to help out should also let me know.
Here’s looking forward to another successful season.
