A total of 37 riders from 15 clubs took part, including 2 juvenile riders and one junior. Last night’s conditions were even better than the previous week with many riders posting big improvements of between 30 seconds and a minute. The event was won by Kevin Blades of Bury Clarion with a time of 21.34, just pipping Karl Addison’s time of 21.37. New PB’s for Jeff Caunce, Neil Laing and Joe Wilson (Age 16) – and a first ever ride for Kit Mangan (age 14). Bill Sedgwick, Carole James and myself are kicking ourselves for volunteering to marshal.
Here’s hoping we continue to enjoy favourable conditions throughout the season.
