Road Bike Challenge – 10 Mile TT

Southport CC ‘Members Only’ Road Bike Challenge – 10 mile TT. (Under CTT Rules). Sunday March 17th – first rider off 09.31 Course D 33/10 between Tarleton and Banks on the A565. Event HQ Windgates Business Park – by Tarleton Traffic Lights. Signing on from about 8.30am. Entries ‘on the line’. Entry fee £5.00 incl £3.00 CTT levy. No TT Bikes, Disc Wheels, Clip On tribars, Pointy Helmets. All riders must have a working rear light! Weather is guaranteed! (current forecast is cold , dry and a moderate westerly breeze. Everyone is guaranteed a course PB, and the first rider home gets to be the inaugural official course record holder – whick is likely to be beaten a couple of times on the day unless one of our ‘fast men’ goes off number 1.  There will be prizes – to be decided by the committee – but only if you have paid your subs before the event. I will be checking with the membership sec before prizes are awarded. Marshals and helpers are always appreciated, and for anyone just going out for a ride on Sunday morning, feel free to drop by the course and give some encouragement to fellow members (Banks / Mere Brow R/As) and near the finish at Blackgate Lane are all good vantage points where riders will appreciate a cheer. Unofficial catch up and review of results afterwards at Twin Lakes (10.30 to 11am )
