Update on the Open 10 this Saturday evening. We have a good field 65 competitors coming from as far away as Yorkshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire, with 12 SCC members taking part.
We have got just about enough volunteers to cover the key Marshalling and event HQ jobs, however there is no ‘cover’ if anyone has to pull out at the last moment. Some volunteers will have already put in a ‘full shift’ helping Ken Beck out with youth races at Litherland, during the morning and early afternoon.
I would really like another 3 or 4 people to commit to helping out, as I don’t want to have to ask club members who have actually entered our ‘flagship’ event to give up their rides to marshal.
Please help if you can — don’t just think that someone else will do it.
The more marshals we have at key positions on the course ( particularly at the 2 roundabouts) the safer it will be for everyone.
Meet at Tarleton Scout Hut for a briefing at between 5.30 and 6.00pm. First rider is off at 6.31pm Last rider will be off the course by 8pm.
Even if you are not needed to marshal, come along anyway and show your support to the riders.
