The evening 10 mile TT’s are provisionally scheduled to begin on Thursday 17th April, then every fortnight until the end of August. They are Club Type B events – and no prior entry is needed – pay when you sign on. It’s open to members of other clubs and is also a ‘Come and Try’ event where non affiliated members can take part. Event HQ for all of the events is the car park at Mere Brow Village Hall.
The April date is provisional subject to Lancs CC having completed the resurfacing of Mere Brow Roundabout. The section to be resurfaced has been paint marked by the council, but there is no date given on Lancs CC website for actually doing the work.
We have an Open 15 Mile TT scheduled for Sunday May 11th – 8.30am start. Entries are now open via the CTT website. The Open 15 Mile TT is run in conjunction with the VTTA (North Lancs and Lakes Group) and is one of their championship qualifying events. Marshals and helpers will be needed – and I know it’s the day following our Bickerstaffe Road Races – but the date was fixed before British Cycling gave us the date for Bickerstaffe!
We also have an Open 10 Mile TT on Sunday 19th June – 8.30am start.
