SATURDAY 8:30 RIDE, JUNE 23rd: THE CHRIS STONE IS 50 – 50 miler.

This week’s ride celebrates Chris reaching maturity….achieved more by luck than good judgement. To commemorate this achievement we are organising a 50 mile ride with 5000 ft of climbing.
This ’50 mile route’ starts at Newburgh and finishes close to Cedar Farm…..so if you start from Southport it will be about an 80 mile ride if you do the whole route.

Arrangements: Meet Clubhouse 8:30 or Martin Inn 9:00 or Newburgh, Post Office 9:30. The route then goes over Ashurst, Appley Bridge, Red Rock, Foxholes/Winter Hill, Egerton, Belmont, Anglezark (to top of second climb), Anglezark Reverse, Rivington…then downhill to Cedar for the last climb of the day, Coopers Lane.

If you want to join the ride but don’t want to do all the route that’s fine…there are a number of options for cutting the route short.
