Another fine night – and a good field of 35 riders with a number of riders beating or getting close to PB’s or Season’s Bests. On a slightly disappointing note, there were only 4 SCC riders, and we were down to the bare bones for Marshals.
A special word of thanks to Greg Ryecroft who was driving along the road through Holmeswood and came to the aid of Derek Unsworth of Leigh Premier RC who had snapped his chain during the warmup. Greg picked him and his bike up and returned him safely to the HQ – saving a long walk in cleats!
