Results of 10 Mile TT – Thursday 9th August

Results are now posted on the club Facebook page and are in the TT results section of the website.

There was a better turnout than in recent weeks with 27 riders taking part including 13 SCC members

Thanks again to Matt Stell and Sean Owens of Preston CC for helping out with marshalling. We always appreciate the help we get from other clubs whose members regularly take part in our evening events.

Fastest overall was Karl Addison with a 22.13, Tom Williams was second SCC rider with a 23.16, and Conor McKinnon was 3rd SCC (and fastest Junior) with a 23.36 – beating reigning junior champ David Unsworth by 9 seconds.  Dave Morgan made his first appearance on the start line in 3 years (he’d come out to Marshal, but as we had all points covered he decided to ride).  Greg Callaghan had a seasons best of 28.40 in less than perfect conditions.

With 3 events remaining, in the Points Competition, Karl Addison continues to lead, with David Unsworth and Pete Leonard closely contesting second spot. In the ladies, so far only Claudia and Maggie Biggs have the number of qualifying rides, however Maddie Scott and Sally Waterworth are actually ahead of them on points but still need a further 2 and 3 rides ( or a couple of turns at marshalling) respectively to qualify.  They’re running out of time if they want a chance of a prize.

Of the 30 SCC members who have ridden this season, only 11 have so far got the minimum number of 6 rides ( or 4 plus 1 marshal duty) to qualify for an award.
