Results of last night’s 10 mile TT. ten 23 08 18
After a wet and windy afternoon, the sun eventually appeared in time for the event, however the stiff SW wind meant that times were slower than normal.
Only 7 SCC riders last night ( including one new member – welcome, Rhys Thomas), but at least we had plenty of marshals. We also welcomed 16 riders from Bury Clarion who were using our event for their annual handicap competition.
Thanks to Martin Wallis of Wallis Cycles RT, and Greg Plummer of Springfield Financial RT for helping out with the marshalling duties. Their continued support throughout the season is greatly appreciated.
Next week is the final event of the season — first rider ‘off’ at 6.45pm
There are still a few SCC riders who have the opportunity of qualifying for an award in the ‘points’ competition either by riding the last event or by marshalling. So far 13 riders have met the qualifying criteria – Minimum 6 rides or 4 rides plus 1 marshalling duty
Greg Rycroft – 5 rides — needs to do 1 ride or 1 marshal duty
Tom Williams , Greg Callaghan – 4 rides — need to marshal 1
Issy McKinnon, Conor McKinnon 3 rides + 1 marshal — need 1 more ride each
