Despite a fine, warm and sunny night, only 25 riders signed on ( 5 from SCC). We also managed to scrape up the bare number of marshals / helpers – but hopefully the situation will improve over the next few weeks as people return from their spring holidays. The event was was won by Steven Burke – multiple Olympic and World Champion in the Team Pursuit who now rides for Team Wallis. Great to have such a high profile athlete competing in our evening TT series. Welcome also to new member ( and relatively new to cycling), Ken Addison – following in the footsteps of his son Karl who joined the club a month ago and who currently has the fastest time by an SCC rider this season.
