Thanks to all who took part and helped out at tonight’s event in cool and breezy conditions.
Nine Southport riders took part including new member Karl Addison, who was fastest SCC rider with a time of 23.36 on a tough night. He beat David Unsworth by 46 seconds – and has laid a marker down for the season. Martin Bailey and Robbie Hurst also need watch out – we have a new quick man on the scene. We had 2 lady riders taking part, with young Issy McKinnon ( 15) posting a creditable 28.12 – only 6 second slower than her PB that was set on a much quicker night.
Please note next weeks event may have to be run on a shortened course depending upon whether Lancashire CC’s planned works along Carr House Lane involve any traffic lights. Decision will be made on the night.
We are going to be potentially short handed for timekeepers and marshals over the coming 3 weeks whilst people are away in Majorca and Menorca (I and NOT Jealous – repeat Not Jealous). Any offers of help will be gratefully received.
