Below is a list of the Saturday 8:30 rides for June.

SATURDAY JUNE 3rd : SKULL HOUSE LANE VIA BILLINGE HILL

A 55 mile ride with two climbs. Route: Club House, Ainsdale 8:45, Aughton, Rainford, Upholland, Ashurst Summit, Appley Bridge, Skull House, Cedar Farm, Home.

SATURDAY JUNE 10TH : TOCKHOLES

A 65 mile ride. Steady to Brindle then some short climbs before long drag up to Tockholes, followed by descent into Belmont, climb over Winter Hill. Coffee at Tockholes. Choice of routes home.

SATURDAY JUNE 17TH : THE EVER RISING ROAD

A 45/55 mile flat ride, apart from the climb up the Ever Rising Road.
Club House 8:30; Plough 8:45; Tarleton; Leyland; Eccleston; Cedar Farm. Optional return routes: (a) Short route via Burscough (b) For those who want to do a longer ride, return via Ashurst and Clieves Hill. Easy ride, hard ride Sunday.

SUNDAY JUNE 18TH : FLEET MOSS AUDAX

This event is organised by the Club. There is a choice of 3 routes:
– Fleet Moss 216km (133 miles) Start 7.30.am.

– Lunesdale Populaire 158km (100 miles) Start 8.30.am

– Pilgrim’s Way 114km (70 miles) Start 9.00.am

Whichever you chose you can be sure of good food and refreshments at the start and finish at Claughton Memorial Hall and a challenging route through beautiful countryside. Cakes at the finish with proceeds to MacMillan Cancer Support.

SATURDAY JUNE 24TH RIVINGTON VIA ASHURST AND RED ROCK

A 62 mile, hilly ride: Route: Club House, Ainsdale 8:45, Burscough, Dalton Church, Appley Bridge, Standish, Red Rock, Blackrod, Rivington, Chorley, Mawdsley, Rufford, Home.

SATURDAY JULY 8th : BUTTERTUBS

This annual event commemorates the 2015 Tour de France Stage which included the iconic Buttertubs climb. The ride leaves DENT in the Yorkshire Dales at 9:00am. Distance 64 miles.
