Evening TT Series – 2024 Results

Results of all evening TT’s have now been uploaded to the TT results page.

It’s been a difficult season with 7 events being cancelled due to a combination of roadworks, adverse weather, the tragic events in Southport and a shortage of available timekeepers / marshals.

Only 7 SCC riders have actually ridden events this year, with Ken Addison being ‘Points’ champion and David Scott Miller being runner up.

Ken Addison had the fastest time over the season with a 23.18, however evergreen Alex Munro at age 91 had the best time on Vet’s Age Adjustment with 19.32

Notable times by riders from other clubs were

Fastest Open Category – Phil Williams – Team Bottrill – 19.11

Fastest Female – Samantha Howard – Mersey Tri 22.01 – new female course record

Male Espoir (U23) Tristan Pilling – 360 Cycling 19.36

Female Espoir – Lily Brindle – Brother UK 22.42

Male U18 – Aidan Worden – 360 Cycling – 20.23

Female U18 – Megan Lloyd – Liv Halo RT – 24.19

Male U16 – Albie Jones – North Cheshire Clarion – 19.36 – New U16 course record

Female U16 – Katie Lawson – Secret Training – 24.07

Following a risk assessment, no Evening 15’s were held – as the course has been deemed unsuitable for evening events due to the number of parked vehicles adjacent to the very busy Legh Arms pub in Mere Brow Village.

Thanks once again to all who rode and those who helped out with marshalling – in particular to those from other clubs who ‘lent a hand’ from time to time.

I’m going to be stepping back from the organising role in 2025, so whilst I’ll still be timekeeping and doing admin work, we’re going to need someone to take over setting up and signing on duties next season.
