Good Turnout by SCC members at tonight’s 10. Thirteen club riders faced the starter including 3 juniors and 2 ladies. A few PB’s were set, and other riders were able to beat their best from last season set on the old course. Conditions were less than perfect, with a moderately stiff SE breeze.
Fastest SCC rider for the second week ( and third overall) was Tom Williams – who lowered his PB again to 22.04, beating Robbie Hurst to second place by 24 seconds.
Four SCC riders were under 23 minutes, and a further two riders went sub 24.
Carole James produced a sub 30 minute ride for her first event of the season.
Scott Leverington of Springfield Financial RT is the new course record holder with a 20.56. It may last a little longer than the previous record.

Thanks to all who took part and helped with the smooth running of the event.
We have most key personnel and marshal positions covered for next week’s event, though we are still a couple of marshals short to cover the roundabouts. Ken Addison and Maggie Biggs have already confirmed, and El Prez has said he will perform pusher off duties, so we need another two volunteers – one each for Mere Brow and Banks. Marshals should report to Ken Davies – Head Marshal at the event HQ by 6.30 pm and be in place by 7pm.
Riders are very strongly advised to have a good working rear light, and reminded to fix their race numbers where it can be easily seen by timekeepers and marshals. (Ideally low down and left of centre — covering the LH pocket for those riders not wearing skinsuits!) Remember to clearly shout your number at the finish just in case the timekeepers cannot read your number!
