Message from Colin Baldwin – aka El Presidente
On behalf of the club I am organising 2 races on the Bickerstaffe circuit.
The men’s race 2/3/4 cat starts at 9am and the Women’s 2/3/4 cat starts at 11am. Both will complete 12 laps of the circuit over a distance of 65 klms/41 miles. The HQ is the Bickerstaffe AFC, Hall Lane, L39 0EH, parking is limited.
Officials, medics, NEG motor bikes, accredited marshals etc. are all in place. However,volunteers from the club are needed to supplement other marshalling points. If you can assist you would need to be at race HQ for briefing at 8.30am and expect to finish at 1.00 pm. Eddie O’Brien & Chris Truett are lead car drivers and Wendy Scott & Maria Salcedo are providing refreshments,Dave Livingstone & Joan Bradley signing on duties.
Representing the club in the Men’s race is Jim Henderson (5 times National Hill Climb champion) and a former winner of the event and in the Women’s event Maddy Scott & Rosie Walsh are down to ride.
So, even if you can’t help out,please come and support the event and the riders.
