2017 Evening 10 Mile TT Series – Points Competition

Final Results of the points competition can now be found in the Time Trial Results section.

Martin Bailey achieved the maximum possible tally of 180 points from his best 12 rides, followed closely by Robbie Hurst on 174 points.

David Unsworth finished third overall on 161 points and was best junior.

A total of 23 club riders took part in the series, with 13 riders competing in at least 4 events to qualify for awards.

A special mention must go to Madeleine Scott for breaking the long standing ladies 10 mile TT record with a time of 24.00 in the last event of the season– beating Maggie Biggs previous record set back in 1971.  It was fitting that Maggie was also riding the event and was full of praise for the new record holder.

Best Veteran on Standard was Peter Leonard with a ‘plus’ of 5.03.  Second was Robbie Hurst with +4.56, and third was Will White with + 4.16

Seventeen Veterans took part in the series, with 13 of them beating their ‘age standard’ time.
