After Monday’s club meeting Geoff has been busy planning and has provided the following details below of suggested rides for remainder of this month.
A) SATURDAY JANUARY 14th: SKULL HOUSE LANE.
A 52 mile ride as there is a longer ride to Scorton the following day. Club House 8:30; Ainsdale 8:45; Aughton, Rainford, Orrell, Appley Bridge, Cedar Farm, Home. Mostly flat with 1700ft climbing in the middle.

C) SATURDAY JANUARY 21st: BROCKHOLES.
A 60 mile ride.Club House 8:30; Plough 8:45; Tarleton; Preston; Guild Wheel; Brockholes cafe stop; Brinscall; Leyland, Home. Flat to the cafe, 1600 ft climbing after cafe.

D) SATURDAY JANUARY 28th: EVER RISING ROAD – SHORT ROUTE.
A 45 mile flat ride, apart from the climb up the Ever Rising Road.
Club House 8:30; Plough 8:45; Tarleton; Leyland; Eccleston; Cedar Farm, Home.
(Short ride because longer ride available Sunday).

E) SUNDAY JANUARY 29th: ANNUAL RELIABILITY RIDE – BOWLAND KNOTS.
Pete Leonard has provided details of this ride. It’s a 75 mile hilly ride which starts in Fulwood, Preston. Some of us (well at least two of us) are interested in doing it. If you’re interested let me (Geoff) know and we can coordinate transport and ride it as a group.

LOOKING FURTHER AHEAD
SUNDAY MAY 7th: LANCASHIRE LANES SPORTIVE
This is a 75 mile ride which the club has traditionally supported. We usually have about 20 riders. The ride starts in Kirkby but riders who want something longer can start from Southport which means a ride of about 110 miles.
