This Saturday’s ride will start at the Clubhouse at 8:30, Plough 8:45, Tarleton, Buckshaw Village, White Coppice, Anglezarke, Rivington (cafe stop to be discussed), Red Rocks, Standish, Croston, Home 1pm. 61 miles, 2500 ft. Route above.

Three 25 mile TTs on the last Thursday in May, June and July.

Pete is leading Saturday’s ride. The ride will go out via Ainsdale (8:45 at cop shop), and thereafter towards Crank, Shaley, Cedar Coffee stop, Home. Enjoy.

This year’s ride will start in the car park Dent at 9:30. Neil and Chris are sorting out the precise route, will post later. Approximately 60 miles with one or two cafe stops. Finish at 3:30. Stunning scenery and a chance to follow the TDF route over Buttertubs pass. If you plan to come let us know so that we look out for you.

Open 25 mile time trial on course D25/5 – our normal 25 course.

SATURDAY 8:30 – Clubhouse. 8:45 – Plough. Then Euxton, White Coppice, Anglezarke, Rivington. Between 50 – 60 miles depending on group decision about way home.

Sunday’s Ride will be to Beacon Fell. Unfortunately Alan Stark isn’t fully recovered from illness so he can’t lead this one. Steady ride, flattish, climb at finish up to cafe. Distance from Plough approx 64 miles.
Meet Plough at 9:00.

Come along to the Club Room and you can feature in a brand new club photograph wearing the “Modern” Club Kit. If you have not bought any kit yet you will be able to borrow a jersey (hopefully)

A few club members have a big ride in Sunday so a gentler ride this Saturday. Clubhouse 8:30, Plough 8:45, Chorleyish, Euxton, Eccleston, Cedar, Home…..about 50 miles.

First man off at 6.45pm.  All riders are strongly advised to have lights – particularly late starters.

Club House Start, with a pickup at Ainsdale police station at 8:45. Route will be Shaley Brow, Red Rock and then the Blemont loop and returning back back via Eccleston after the cafe stop.

Rerouting may be decided before the police station due to weather.

Ride to head to Fir tree cafe via Croston taking in ascents of Parbold hill, Ashurst beacon and Shaley brow descending to Fir tree cafe ,then returning to Southport via Clieves hill.

Ian Bailey will be leading this moderately hilly one.  Leave the Plough 9am, Tarleton Lights 9.15 then Via Leyland, Brindle, Samelsbury, Mellor, Whalley  and then through quiet lanes to Downham.  Return via Waddington, Birdy Brow, Longridge, Broughton and Preston Docks.  About 85 miles and 4000 ft of climbing
