We will be using a new meeting point for the start of Saturday morning club runs.
Open area on Banks Road opposite to the Pumping Station entrance. See map below
This will start with effect from this Saturday (11th July) There is an area with no houses, a turn in where people can congregate and a safer start point for moving off in a number of separated groups without the hazard of negotiating the Plough roundabout.

NOTE – This event is now full — No entries will be accepted on the line. In aid of the NW Air Ambulance. The last two STR rides have been great days out – and attract mostly club riders more like our old Bill Bradley ride or the Lancashire Lanes as opposed to the big ‘commercial’ sportives. Numbers are limited to 200 – and at the moment it’s about 2/3 full. You can enter online at http://www.lancashirecyclinglink.co.uk/events

The annual November ride through the Mersey tunnel, across the Wirral to the famous Eureka cycle cafe. A run across the Wirral to New Brighton ( maybe an ice cream stop somewhere) and then back through the Tunnel.
Recommended to have lights (at the least a rear light for the trip through the tunnel) as it may well be going dark by the time we are coming home.
See here for a description of last years ride.

As the ride was cancelled last week due to the weather, this is not the 3rd Sunday ride – however if any one wants to have a ride through the Mersey Tunnel I (Allan Taylor) am planning to follow the route prepared for last week.
