Details now available. (see here for the latest info) The route is from the Pier Head and around Sefton Park -8 laps of a 13.1km. There is a”Sky Ride” (5 miles) starting at 9.00.am and the stage starts at 2.15.pm. The “Promo” zone is open from 10.00.am. Watch this space for any planned SCC rides to the event.

September ride on the 21st will be to Beacon Fell — about 60 mile round trip from the Plough. Nothing too desperate in terms of hills – however there is the optional loop of the Fell for those feeling a bit braver!

Meet at the Plough at 9.00 / Blackgate Lane 9.15am.

Come along to the Club Room between 9.00am and 2.00.pm. and support the day. Club runs will start and finish at the club room. Donations of cakes etc welcome.

The NLTTA Combined Clubs ’25’ TT with the first rider setting off at 8.01am. We are using the L2528 course … A6-Nateby-St Michaels x2 . The event headquarters are at Kirtland Bridge Memorial Hall and will be open from 7am. Entries via Richard Cary only (use the Contact Form)

If you have any items , ideas, suggestions which you think would improve your club, tell a member of the committee or use the contact form to let the committe know.

Starting from Ainsdale Police station, through the Mersey Tunnel and across the Wirral to the Eureka cafe for refreshments. Then on to New Brighton, along the edge of the Mersey to return through the tunnel. A good idea to have lights on your bike!

The evening starts at 7.00pm with dinner at approximately 7.30pm.

Menu consists of:

Winter Vegetable Soup.
Roast Topside of Beef with Mushroom filled Yorkshire Pudding and Red Wine Glaze.
Choux Pastry Buns with Duo of Chocolate Sauces.
Freshly Ground Coffee and Mint Crisps.
Mediterranean Vegetable and Goats Cheese Tart is the Vegetarian option.

A prize presentation will follow and the bar is open until 12.30. (more specific details of the evening to follow).

Venue to be decided closer to the time once there’s a more accurate forecast — we could get almost anything thrown at us except a heatwave – though the long range forecast seems half decent with little in the way of snow and ice.

As it’s the shortest day, Scorton or Chipping would seem to be the furthest that’s sensible. I had also thought about Light Ash Farm near Bilsborrow – but according to their website it’s only doing pre-booked Xmas Lunches.

Roots Cafe at Catforth are doing ‘ Xmas cyclists breakfasts’ – but clubs are asked to book as places are limited. If enough people want to go, I’m going to need confirmed numbers by the AGM.

Decision by the AGM — or we could always make it a magical mystery tour like the ‘A group’ and if we’re lucky the cafe stop will be decided upon before we get to Preston

The traditional jaunt up and down the Coast Road from the Birkdale roundabout to Pontins and return.

Signing on in the Club Room (and socialising) from 10.15.am. with the first rider off at 11.00.am. back to the club room for reflection on the event and announcement of the winner.

The sixth edition of this now traditional Mountain Bike (or similar/ shopping bike for Will White) ride starting from the Club Room at 9.30.am.

The route is along the Coastal Road, then through the Pinewoods, across Formby, along the path adjacent to the Altcar range and through Hightown to Crosby. Returning via the Cheshire Lines path.

Colin will be returning from his Christmas cruise to host the forum in his usual style.

Probably to Roots cafe in Catforth but exact destination will depend on the weather on the day. Leaving from the Plough bus stop at 9.30.am. Route then heads across the Moss to Tarleton instead of going up the main road.

MTB drive & ride – Gisburn Forest. Leavin SCC clubhouse @ 9:00am. Return by 4pm. Aim is 4-hour trail riding on mixed terrain. Hardtail ideal but plenty of the runs at Gisburn are superb on a Full-Suspension bike. Packed lunch required. Car share & bike racks needed.
