13 Riders took to the road from Blackgate Lane. It was cool but sunny for most of the ride we only caught a shower around 3.10pm as we came over the Moss back into Southport. The group stopped for a minutes silence at Thornley School near Longridge as we rode out (nice sunny spot at 11am).
On reaching Waddington we found the County Cafe full to the brim and so we retraced our route over Hodder Bridge and on to Bashall Barn and wasted no time (apart from a impromtu puncture) in tucking into their fayre. It was a bit pricey £7.95!! for beans on brown and 2 poached eggs but well presented and hot. The group having been fed were ready to take to the road again for the return stint.
A good day great company.
